Spring Fever

Who has it (besides me)?  This has been the most mild winter I can remember in Georgia – in fact, the pollen is already out.  Cue sinus probs in February.  Eye roll.  Anyway, this weather has me ready to break out the sandals and ‘springy’ outfits.  Today I’m going to highlight some of my favorite new sandals!

First up, Vince Camuto.  The Bailey Lace Ups on the left are high on my list – they’d be the perfect addition to a cute spring or maxi dress.

Y’all – Target’s shoe game right now is STRONG.  They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so you’re gonna want to check these out.  Copying anything from Sam Edelman and Vince Camuto looks, to even Valentino!  And for a fraction of the price?  Yes please!

If you’re anything like me, you do most of your shopping at Nordstrom.  Why?  Because I’ve never known a store with better customer service.  Seriously.  Here are a few that caught my eye at there.

And drum roll…..I saved the best for last:  these Marc Fisher ‘Adalyn’ beauts.

I’d love to hear what some of your favorite trends/sandals are for this spring and summer!!

Have a wonderful weekend, y’all! xo, Elle

Arm Candy for the ‘KEEP’

Who doesn’t love some good arm candy?!  I think it can totally make your outfit!  I have two go-to watches I interchange – a gold Michael Kors and blush pink Piperwest that I pair with a couple David Yurman and Alex and Ani bracelets for my everyday look.  For a fun night out, I typically will add different bracelets to complete whatever look I’m going for.

Recently, I was introduced to KEEP.  Think a trendy, modern-day charm bracelet.  Their mission is ‘to give every woman the means to design her one of a kind life’ – they create MEANINGFUL jewelry to help you tell your UNIQUE STORY.  Their ‘keepers’, the base for which you place the charms are anything from bracelets to necklaces, key fobs & pet collars, and bags.  You then select your charms to personalize and complete your look.  These can range from engravables and letters to luxe stones, just to name a few.

I chose for my ‘keeper’, a neutral pebbled and champagne color, and my first charm is the ‘Chevron Geo Bar’.  Once I placed my order, it was in the mail about 3 days later – so prompt!

{How cute is this packaging?!}

Here are some of my favorite charms that I plan to add to my collection STAT.

Be Mine?

Who else thinks Valentine’s Day is one of the most overrated Holiday(s)?  Well, besides New Year’s Eve.  There are undoubtedly expectations placed on this silly day, that more times than not are unmet.  However, who says you can’t still be cute whether you’re on a date with your honey, out for drinks with your girls, or just straight chillin’ on the couch with your fur baby?!  Check out some of my current favs (click on pic for link)!

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?  Would love to hear! xo, Elle

Friyay Date Night!

If you’re like me, you sometimes look in your closet and think “I have NOTHING to wear”.  Uhhhhh, reality check – you have lots of options.  What I’ve found is simply by adding a statement necklace to a basic sweater, you’ve suddenly made your outfit less basic AF.  Below you’ll see a few items similar to what I throw together for a fun date night on the town.  Typically I pair fun heels {aren’t these Vince Camuto adorable?!}, with a top/sweater (I LOVE the low V on this Bobi one!), jeans, statement necklace, and cute clutch.  What are your go-to date night outfits?!

These {OTK} Boots Were Made For Walking

Alright, so I have to admit it took me a little while to warm up to the OTK boot trend.  I’m not sure why it seemed much different from the knee-high boots I’ve been wearing for the last few years, but it did.  After much searching, I found my perfect match – I give you the Vince Camuto ‘Lorrey’.  What I like about them – not only are they extremely comfortable (I walked all over NYC in them), but the camel suede goes with everything, and they’re easy to dress up or down!  I’ve worn them with leggings, dresses, and jeans.  Pictured here I’ve paired them with my favorite Current Elliott jeans and off-the-shoulder Sun&Shadow sweater._dsc0460_dsc0461_dsc0483_dsc0503_DSC0520.jpg_DSC0529.jpg

These are some of my other favorite OTK boots, what are yours?!

P.S. Photo cred goes to Ryan Duggar – check him out if you need some photography in the Atlanta area!

Baby blues and booties

Hi loves – welcome to my blog!

A few weeks ago I had my first photo shoot – a big thanks to Ryan Duggar at ryanduggarphotography.com.  A natural at modeling, this was easy.  I kid, I kid.  This was a bit daunting at first, and definitely outside of my comfort zone.  I will say, it helps having someone experienced behind the camera to guide/direct you.

So let’s get down to the important stuff – the outfit.  Living in Atlanta, the transition from summer to fall can be a little tricky (80 degrees on Halloween, anyone?!)!  I saw the ‘Elsa’ Chiffon Tassel Blouse from Goodnight Macaroon and fell in love!  A huge fan of baby blue, the color immediately caught my eye.  I also really liked the detailing at the top, the tassels, and that it was light-weight.  Not only have I worn it casual chic {as seen in the pics below}, but I’ve also dressed it up for work and worn with a pencil skirt and block heels (see last pic)!

Does anyone else appreciate white after Labor Day?!  Growing up in the South, white was acceptable between Easter (though I think the more strict folks would even wait until Memorial Day) and Labor Day.  I am so glad those ‘rules’ went away!  I decided to pair my Goodnight Macaroon top with white J.Crew skinny jeans, and these cut-out Vince Camuto booties.

The cut-out booties are perfect for this transitional weather – they give your feet breathing room so they’re not too hot, they’re comfy, and of course cute.

What are some of your favorite transitional pieces this year?  Be on the look out for more ‘fall outfit’ posts soon!  xoxo, Elle

Flannel and a {Puffy} Vest

It may almost be Christmas, but living in the south weather is so unpredictable.  Yesterday it went from being 60 degrees to 40 degrees in an HOUR!!!!  The bottom line is it lends you a variety of different outfit options (fall AND winter).  A couple of my favorite fall transitional pieces are flannel button down shirts and puffer vests.  My talented friend Ryan Duggar of Atlanta took pictures of me in this outfit at Lenox Park._dsc0570_dsc0581

(How cute is this phone booth?!  It makes me feel like I’m back in London.)

(And maybe I had fun playing in the leaves, too. ;))

Outfit details – almost the entire outfit is made up of items from J.Crew and J.Crew factory. The flannel top is from J.Crew and this exact one is no longer available, but you can find similar ones here.  Did I mention they’re having a sale right now??  40% off using code HOLIDAY.  The vest is J.Crew factory, but you can also find it at J.Crew.  I have these jeans in denim and white – they are really comfy and cute.  Can be worn straight, or rolled up at the bottom.  Y’all know I’m a huge fan of Sam Edelman shoes.  I’m wearing their Louie Fringe Bootie in Tan-Putty Suede – you can find them here.  They go with everything – I’ve worn them with jeans, leggings, and dresses.  Crossbody is the Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini MAC’ – what I love about this purse is it’s multi-functional.  You can wear it as a shoulder strap or crossbody and it’s the perfect smaller on-the-go size (it’s my go-to purse for my Euro trips).  Last, but not least….channeling my inner Top Gun with these Ray-Ban aviators.  _dsc0652_dsc0551_dsc0670

What are your current fashion/outfit must-haves?!

Wanderlust in the making…(Part 2)

I promised I’d finish telling y’all about my first trip to Europe, which established my love for travel, so here goes.  After exploring Rome for a couple of days, we took the train to Florence.  Let me tell you – as much as I loved the city of Rome, I was blown away by Florence.  You just can’t compare the two because they are polar opposites.  Florence is beautiful, and my pictures won’t do it justice.

(I found the apartment where my bff studied abroad while in college!)

(Rub the boar’s nose for good luck)

(You must eat at Il Latini – authentic Italian food and you can meet new friends!)

Must-do – a wine tour in Tuscany.  See the beautiful countryside, while tasting many different delicious Italian wines.  (We chose to do a vespa tour which was fun, but full disclosure – a little frightening.)

While in Florence, hike up to Piazzele Michelangelo for beautiful views of the city.

Last, but certainly not least, make sure you catch a sunset from the Ponte Vecchio bridge – it is breathtaking.  This is one of my favorite pictures, and there is no filter.
